Growing in fine flakey schist at stream edge (just coming out of a snow bank).

Notes:
No fruit found, only two old inflorescences located. Habit very flat (plants collected just out of the snow melt); a creeping rhizome with short internodes. Leaf-blades yellow-brown, young leaves just starting to sprout, no sign of leaf-shoots.
