Habitat:
Growing in dense, occasinally- slashed grasses, sedges, Restionaceae etc along easement through eucalypt forest.
Notes:
Stems slender, straight, upright or somewhat leaning, bright green, c. 1 mm diameter (fresh); spikelets dull brown; anthers yellow, c. 4 mm long (including apex); stigmas colourless. Native. Plants scattered in more low-lying sites (but not swampy). Second season of regrowth after wildfire, with plentiful rainfall (soil still damp). Plants flowering prolifically; virtually all inflorescences with anthers exserted; very few stigmas visible.
