Habitat:
In gully beside creek. Overstorey with Acacia melanoxylon and Eucalyptus obliqua. Associated taxa: Austrocynoglossum latifolium, Carex appressa, Clematis aristata, Coprosma quadrifida, Cratagus monogyna, Cyathea australis, Dactylis glomerata, Ehrharta erecta, Pteris tremula, Sambucus gaudichaudiana, Sigesbeckia orientalis.
Notes:
Erect shrub ca. 2.5 metres high, multistemmed, bark smooth, with ? lenticels, beige. Leaf upper surface somewhat dark green and glossy, the lower surface paler and less glossy. Domatia present on occasional leaves, 1-2 domatia per leaf. Fruit succulent, egg shaped, 9-10 mm long, 6.5 mm wide, orange, very glossy, the flesh almost insipid. Seeds 5-6.6 mm long. Not native.

Supplementary remarks:
2 plants of the hybrid. Coprosma robusta not present at the site, but a common weed in the area. Based on the DNA work done at MEL, the meternal parent for this specimen is C. robusta and the paternal larent is C. quadrifida.
