Around old house site from Hurricane Heta. Relic of cultivation in makasea crevice.
Notes:
Twining herb with leaf tip tendrils. Flowers pendent because of sharply declined pedicel apex. Perianth segments 5.3-6 cm x 1-1.5 cm, strongly undulate and curving upwards and inwards; proximal half yellow and distal half scarlet, eventually whole tepal deep crimson. Stamens greenish-yellow, ± horizontal. Style similar colour, sharply bent at base and then inclined upwards and straight. Two or three plants.
