Coastal broadleaf forest. Associated species: Metrosideros excelsa, Piper excelsum, Vitex lucens, Rhopalostylis sapida, Coprosma sp., Leptospermum scoparium var. scoparium, Gahnia sp., juvenile Agathis australis, Pittosporum umbellatum, Korthalsella salicornioides, Weinmannia silvicola, Olearia sp., Pseudopanax sp., Veronica sp., Beilschmiedia tawa, Astelia sp., Metrosideros sp., Knightia excelsa.
