Habitat:
Mixed Celmisia / Tussock grassland (Chionochloa macra Cel. 40%, Chl 40% other). Aciphylla scott-thomsonii, Raoulia grandiflora, Dracophyllum muscoides, Phyllachne colensoi, Epilobium sp., Leptinella goyenii in bare patches.
Notes:
Thin stiff lance like leaves arranged in rosette; Flower stalks higher than leaves; flowers mature 3-4cm across with fluffy seeds.
