Relic of cultivation in boundary hedge.
Notes:
Vine with dense smothering habit. Tendrils tending dark purple when young. Sepals 3.8-4 cm long, oblong, green outside, white inside. Petals 3.3-3.5 cm long,slightly narrower than sepals, white on both sides. Corona filaments to c. 3 cm long; white, pale mauve only at base. Filaments and styles horizontal, pale green; latter c. 1.5 cm long, bifurcate and with large rounded, deep green, stigmatic knob. Fruit not collected but apparently similar to 5368/CI [CHR 649423] that grew in the same hedge and only a few metres away.
