Culm 73 cm long x 1 mm; 5 nodes (small), inflorescence 4; longest 30 cm x 2 mm, green, glaucous below; flat - similar to Golden Bay in midrib, hairs, and apex. Panicle 11 cm x 6 cm at widest (bottom) open (at bottom) branchlets glabrous, spikelets with 3-4 florets; glumes unequal, lemmas tuft of hairs at base, scabrous above. Flowers have set seed.
