Notes:
Culm 92 cm long x 1.5 mm, 4 nodes (swollen), new shoots from lowest 2 nodes; inflorescence leaves 4, longest 30 cm x 5 mm, dark green, flat; raised midrib above with 2 parallel channels, smooth; low ridge and 2 canals below, finely hairy and rough below; few prickle teeth near apex. Apex very narrow boat, needle-like, rigid. Ligule 0.5 mm, laciniate, fine short hairs. Panicle open at bottom 15 x 12 cm (widest point); panicle hairs on branchlets; spikelets with 5 florets; glumes unequal, lemmas long hairs at base, scabrous above, prickle teeth. Flowers have set seed.
