Notes:
< 6 cm. Tufted, fine, short, rolled leaves. Flower stem 20 cm long. 1 node. Ligule a short fringe of hairs. Leaf apex (acute) blunt but pointed. Rachis and pedicels - short antrorse bristles on awn of lemma, short anterior bristles 0.5 mm, terminal. Inflorescence a raceme with geniculate auricles - long hairs (1 mm). Anther yellow-purple. < 20 spikelets. 4 florets ♂ and ♀.
