Note:
A rather small, young Collospermum that passed the tranverse "break" test. 1). Young leaves still have scales on both surfaces. 2). Scales on upper abaxial surface with with light brown centres. 3). Sheath purple/ "nigrescent", with scales only on adaxial surface, and no keel.

Habitat:
Podocarp/Beech forest, forest intact along A to D line and bottom line (P-A line) but a localised slip has removed the canopy trees from much of the plot. Most large trees are NOTmen, most of plot dominated by Pseudowintera and Tree Ferns.
