Supplementary remarks:
I cannot verify the presence of male plants in this collection. My close examination show superficially perigonia-like structures (c. 1.0 mm, pyriform, with widely spreading inner leaves) surround filiform paraphyses and archegonia rather than antheridia. These were apparetnly erroneously interpreted as male structures by Allen in 1995.
