Canopy dominated by Hard Beech with fewer tall Silver Beech. Sub-conopy dominated by Kamahi and Quintinia, good Hard Beech regeneration plus several Podocarp saplings coming through (Rimu, Miro). Understory rich in Blechnum species and mosses. Gully runs down.
