Habitat:
Dry grassland at roadside. Most grasses grazed to ground level with clumps of less palatable grasses and scrub. Just up from MP 435 [CHR 622506] & AMH 115 [CHR 623539]: few inflorescences sticking up that have escaped grazing!
Notes:
Culms (5)-8-14 cm long, leaves 2-10 cm. Panicles spreading, (1.5-)3-4 cm long. Lemmas small (2.5 mm), purple at tip. Lateral lobes fused to central awn, central awn 0.5 mm. Lower Glume = 6 mm. Abundance: Few Plants.Sample in FAA, transferred to 70% ethanol, for anatomy.
