Notes:
Often rooted in shade between rocks with foliage protruding into full sun, forming tight clumps. Leaves large, distinctly purple tinted, especially on underside. Flower and seeding heads nestled below foliage. Some deer/chamois browse evident on some plants. Often found with Celmisia bonplandii. Population size: 10000+
