Under the microscope, I could see the 2 lateral swellings on the labellum just like those of the purple-green Drymoanthus adversus.

Habitat:
Narrow mudstone ridge above a sharp bend in the Whakangaromanga Stream, on the trunks of c. 40 cm dbh Nothofagus solandri var. solandri.
Notes:
2 plants. The 'typical' purple spotted flowered Drymoanthus adversus was quite common (also seen on Knightia, Leucopogon fasciculatus, Weinmannia racemosa). The yellow-green flowered plants formed a patch of about 12 flowering plants and several juveniles, on the west side of just one beech tree.
