Track edge on ridge - close to site of glasshouse demolished in 2013. Sunny; forest margin. Once mown as lawn but not for several years.

Notes:
Flower. Corolla deep pink-purple, heads globose. Sepals hairy with unequal lobes, longest barely = tube length. Leaves sparsely hairy above, more so below. Stipules acuminate with long slender mucron. Not rooting at nodes. "Bracts" enveloping base of inflorescence. Corolla c. 12 mm long. Leaflets narrow, ovate, without any paler markings. (cf. Trifolium pratense). One patch at Bushy Park - area ca. 1 m x 0.5 m.
