Disturbed area by road. Shaded by Cocos, Hibiscus and Hernandia. Sandy, damp volcanic soil. Vegetation: Crotolaria, fern, Nephrolepis, Rats tail, Bidens, Synadrella, grasses.
Notes:
Grows to 1 m tall. Stem squared, dark purplish, hairy, becoming woody. Leaves alternate - opposite, mint scented. Inflorescence terminal green racemes with white Papill, yellow stamens. Native name: Miri.
