setae twisted to left; peristome fragments seen in one capsule; papillae seem too short (mostly c. 9 µm) for M. grossirete and a few of them (mostly mid leaf) are weakly bifurcate distally (but I am having trouble convincing myself of this. . .the majority are simple and rounded!); the basal laminal cells here extend furtherup the leaf than I would expect in M. grossirete
