Habitat:
In 'wet' forest dominated by hutu (Ascarina lucida var. lanceolata), mahoe (Melicytus aff. ramiflorus) and tree nettle (Pouzolzia australis). Corticolous on the rootstock of Pouzolzia growing amonst Plagiochila pacifica, Pyrrhobryum paramattense and Leucobryum javense.
