Notes:
Dense scrambling vine. Leaves mainly lacking stipules except very young ones; lamina deep shining green and glabrous above. Floral hypanthium 4.5-6 cm long, light green, glabrous. Perianth 4-5.5 cm long; outer whorl (sepals) pinkish-red outside except broad pale pink margins, the latter colour inside generally; subapical mucro reddish. Inner whorl (petals) pale pink, slightly < sepals. Corona papillae white with purple base. Filaments and styles white; stigmas green, oblique, above stamens. A single patch of a few sq. metres. Fruit + fusiform; largest present c. 7 cm long.
