Notes:
Spreading tree 10-12 m high. Buds dark reddish-brown & viscid. Lvs with reddish petioles on lower juvenile branches, these leaves larger than those on adult branches above. Lamina of all leaves ± glaucescent beneath, shining deep green above. Female catkins just fallen, shrivelled.
