Habitat:
The tree is located where macrocarpa and radiata pine have become established. There is a single Tasmanian blue gum [see CHR 616046].
Notes:
Height 27.2 (Nikon forestry 550 laser); Girth: 733 cm @ 1.4 m (multiple stems); Spread: 18 x 15 m. Image is available.Planted c. 1890 by J.S. Harwood who maintained the beacon at the spit. He carted soil on his back for 15 miles to get the trees established. This particular specimen comes from a tree with weeping habit. All the other trees at the location are typical of Cupressus macrocarpa.
