Habitat:
Common from just above spray zone to summit. Forming dark yellow crusts on rock surfaces.
Notes:
Associated with less conspicuous but probably as common Buellia stellulata (see AK 347979 [CHR 613681]), Caloplaca sublobulata and Roccellina exspectata. Visually the most obvious lichen on the rock.
