Notes:
Large clump-forming herb with stems to c. 1.5 m high, square, unbranched in lower half. Leaves very thin; petiole purple and shallowly channelled above. Phyllaries purple-tipped. Rays 1.8-2.0 x 0.3-0.4 mm, narrow oblong, yellow. Disc yellow.
