Habitat:
Roadside ditch, in wet bottom amongst moss.
Notes:
Mat-forming herb with creeping stems. Flowers erect. Calyx lobes ± triangular, much < hypanthium. Corolla white, 5-6 mm long; lobes 2-4 mm long, rather unequal. All ± narrow linear-lanceolate. Anther cone dark blue. Abundant for some metres at least, growing in sphagnum and other mosses.
