Habitat:
Coastal cliff in back of bay, forest margin a few m above beach.
Notes:
Large shrub or small tree a few metres high. Leaves whitish below, dark glossy green above. Flowers with dark reddish-pink petals, each 1.3-1.6 cm long, narrow oblong-elliptic, distal half strongly recurved. Stamens with anthers slightly exserted from pseudo-tube formed by proximal part of petals; filaments coloured as petals. Sepals whitish, 5-10 mm long, narrow linear. Scattered bushes.
