Habitat:
Low shrubs to 40cm tall on steep coastal bank from the road upwards 10-20 m.
Notes:
Leaves pale green, in terminal rosettes, with reddish margins. Flowers: sepals 8 (green), petals 8 (pale yellow) 9.5-10.0mm long; 8-free carpels (white); stamens 16 (white) 1 whorl slightly longer than the other. Duplicate to CHR.

Supplementary remarks:
Small branched shrub. Leaves concentrated in terminal rosettes; largest on specimen 5 x 2 cm, almost oblong tending slightly obovate, glaucescent, flat above and slightly keeled beneath; margins purplish-red distally. Inflor. glabrous. Sepals 2-3 mm long, triangular. Petals 7-8 mm long, elliptic-oblong, white, often with reddish markings outside. Glands translucent white, almost square.
