Notes:
Tree c. 25 m high. Bark rough, dark grey. Branches ± drooping distally. Shoots becoming chestnut-brown. Leaves on sterile shoots, aromatic, curving upwards, shining deep green with few stomatal bands on each of the 4 sides, sub-pectinate beneath. Fertile branches with leaves similar to those on sterile shoots. Cones to 11 cm long, broad cylindric, often slightly curved, shining deep green or purplish-green.
