Habitat:
Climbing on adventive scrub by road.
Notes:
Vine climbing by tendrils. Lead lamina ± shining above; stipules c. 4 mm diam., suborbicular caducous. Shoots tomentulose. Flowers pendent. Hypanthium 5.5-6 cm long, swollen at base, pale green. Perianth segments 3-3.5 cm long, elliptic, pink except for pale brownish-green & flushed pink reverse of outer segments. Corona rim purple with its papillae ± white-tipped. Filaments exserted c. 3 cm. Styles c. 1 cm long; stigmas deep green and ± oblique. A small patch, obviously adventive.
