Hillside close to valley bottom, facing South.
Notes:
Young trees c. 8-9 m high. Branches widespreading and directed upwards at 30-40 degrees above horizontal. Bark becoming rough, not coll. Foliage deep green with typical "macrocarpa" scent. Shoots ± shining for first 1-2 years. Male cones terminal, globular or nearly so. Female conelet (2) pale yellow-green. Mature cones to 3 x 2.5 cm, broad oblong-ellipsoid, shining deep brown. Specimens from several trees in a plantation.
