A plot dominated by a large jumble of 1-2 m boulders with a thin cover of soil and many holes. A 16-20 m canopy of Nothofagus menziesii with an open subcanopy of Hoheria lyallii, a sparse shrub layer of Coprosma ciliata and a thick understorey of Polystichum. On Terrace. Aspect: 90 degrees. Slope: 10 degrees.
