In riparian kahikatea fores remnant (kahikatea/cabbage tree/ nikau over Coprosma propinqua-Phormium tenax-Melicytus micrantus). Forest floods frequently.
Notes:
four individuals up to 5m tall. Under bark butter-yellow, branching virgate, some fruits present, these pedicellate, dark violet black.
