Notes:
Low subshrub, the whole plant except for the corolla grey. Leaves ± erect & produced on short ascending stems giving the plant a bushy appearance. Inflor. overlapping leaves. Pelargonium ovale (Burm.f.) L'Hérit. × P. tricolor Curtis and very close to the latter. Corolla irregular; upper 2 petals 1.8-2 x 1.5-1.6 cm, broad obovate, deep magenta, especially outside and on veins; basal area black & corrugated; lower 3 petals 1.6-1.8 x 0.9-1.0 cm, elliptic-obovate, white or very pale pink. Stamens, style and stigmas dark magenta to black.
