Putative hybrid between Gaultheria rupestris and Gaultheria antipoda. Collection numbers 452, 453 and 454 were off the trail a bit in a huge cluster. Plants large shrubs, 1 m high. Racemes of fruit with white fleshy calyces. Fruiting proliferatively. These plants dominated the area: hard to walk through them.
