This is a putative hybrid between Gaultheria colensoi and Gaultheria antipoda. Some leaves reddish, leaf margins red. Some fruits axillary and solitary. Some fruits in small racemes. One strongly clustered terminal raceme. Dry capsule surrounded by fleshy red calyx.
