Habitat:
Well drained rocky west-facing ridge. Broken greywacke base, shallow loose soils. c. 30°-40°. Lightly grazed hillcountry farm, vegetation dominated by secondary scrub/shrubland. Locality regularly cleared by burning up to 20 years ago, but no longer subject to burning.

Notes:
Single mature healthy plant c. 4 m tall, several trunks up to 25 cm diameter at ground level. Growing on dry west-facing ridge among secondary grazed shrubland. Many flowers dense foliage & form, modular overall shape.
