Habitat:
Aberrant and fertile flush on the southwest facing toe-slopes of greywacke mountain. Vegetation dominated by divaricating shrubs with occasional emergent (occasionally copsed) hardwood trees.
Notes:
Substrate: Mapped as occuring near the boundary of Ashwick YG-YB intergrade and Tekoa upload and high country YB earths.Lone tree approx. 8 m tall and single trunked (dbh 32 cm), which had recently lost some height and side branches to snow-breakage. Flower heads found on end of bent down branch.Population: Lone plant (this specimen) and nearby group of min. 18 plants with 8 plants 3-4 m tall, 10 plants 1-2 m tall and potentially small plants in scrub. Growing within a 25m radius on top lip and upper slopes of terrace riser, at the edge of a moist, fertile, riparian terrace.
