Habitat:
Dry, west-facing slope. Relic of cultivation.
Notes:
Dense, spreading subshrub c. 1m high, strongly aromatic when touched. Leaf lamina with impressed veins above; margins very crinkly and undulate, ± upturned. Flower clusters on peduncles often longer than leaves. Sepals patently pilose. Corolla irregular; Upper petals 2, tending erect, c. 2.8 -3 × 1 cm, oblanceolate or narrow obovate, uniflormly pink; lower petals 3, c. 4 × 1.5 cm, ± oblanceolate, pink with dark crimson markings in lower half. Filaments becoming pink. Originally from Auckland as per CHR 483737.
