Supplementary remarks:
Dioecious probably. Dissected base of 2 setae & found no ♂. Leaves rather broadly lanceolate, acute, unbordered or 1-3 marginal cells rather narrowed not forming distinct border margin; entire; nerve strong, red below, percurrent or mucronate. Cells 50-75 X 10-12μ. Base of capsule ± curved; capsule narrowly oblong (green & fresh); operculum small.
"Peristome is typically bryoid & complete. Inner peristome froms a high basal membrane, widely split. Cilia 2-3 with long well formed appendiculata" J.T.L. [Linzey JT] in litt 20/12/64.
