Habitat:
Seed collected from plants growing on recently disturbed ground and roadside verge.
Notes:
Naturalised plants of pak choi. This naturalised population probably occurred because a local farmer, with land adjoining the forestry block on Plantation Road, used grass seed mixtures from a local seed merchant to improve their pasture. This grass seed often included seed contaminants of other species, such as Brassica (L. Williams pers. comm., Simpsons Road, Ashburton, Oct. 2004). Probable parent of pak choi and wild turnip hyrbids at this site. Plant C4.
