Habitat:
Cultivated on west-facing open slope.
Notes:
Small shrub with prostrate stems brown tomentose when young. Leaves very coriaceous; petiole & rachis pale yellow, erect. Leaflets glaucescent beneath. Inflor erect. Bracts at base of flower furry brown. Style nearly 3 cm long, curved before anthesis, pink with green tip. Perianth c. 2.5 cm long to base of expanded antheriferous area 5 - 6 mm long, purple-pink, pubescent with antheriferous area densely bearded pale brown. Inflor. woody axis c. 9 cm long.
