Uncommon - collected at western end of lake. A few trees seen. None appeared to be pure S. microphylla and no. S. chathamica seen in the area. However S. microphylla has been collected from this lake before (see AK 234513). Growth habit short, stocky, multi-trunked, branchlets spreading but not pendulous, leaflets mostly spaced but some overlapping especially toward distal end.
