Notes:
Occasional variable shrub ranging from 10cm x 10cm to erect 0.8m x 1m specimens. Leaves bright green to dull green somewhat glaucous, leaf bud tetrahedral in cross-section. Flowers pale lilac fading to white. Very similar to Hebe "Awaroa", save in leaf colour and stature. Associated with Dracophyllum longifolium, Hebe venustula, Gahnia pauciflora, Nothofagus truncata, Metrosideros umbellata. On ultramafic rock/schist contact in rubble under open scrubby canopy. Flavonoid Voucher. Chromosome voucher 2n=40.
