Notes:
Common along roadsides. Growing with Dacrycarpus dacrydioides and Myrsine salicina. Tall trees 8-15 m with open, billowing canopy crowns. Bark tearing in long tabular strips with entire margins. Branchlet hairs copious, apppressed, antrorse. Flowers with (28-)31(-37) stamens arranged [3(+2) ap-3,4,5 as] ×5pe.Specimen typical of northern North Island K. "latifolia" - introduced here perhaps?
