Notes:
Known as Gotu Luku. Plants rather bright green, tasting vaguely like very strong celery (not pleasant). Forming an extensive creeping interwoven mat amongst Poa annua, Carex inversa, Pennisetum clandestinum and Lepidium didymum. Inflorescences dark crimson, almost buried within soil - not fragrant. Well established over a few metres in roadside verge and gutter - presumably escaped from nearby gardens (though not seen in these). However, site is some 10m away from where Hydrocotyle perfoliata was found naturalised last year - and that was a clear garden escape from a series of flats where Asian salad herbs were obviously being cultivated.
