This is likely a portion of the type of Dicranodontium australe Dixon, Bull. N.Z. Inst. 3(3): 92 (1923). It matches Dixon's protologue well. The costal structure here is "toxoneuron" and this does not differ from my understanding of the costal structure found in species of Dicranodontium.
