Habitat:
Growing on an eroded washout beside road bridge - area was hydro-seeded. Quite likely this cereal was in the seed-mix used to stablise the slope.
Notes:
Plant ID: 2001/010. C.C. Ogle 3604. Tall grass. Leaves with short fine hairs on centre ribs on upper surface, more sparse and wispy on under sides and sheaths. Small auricles. Ligule 1mm. Glumes with stiff bristles on midrib and on long awn. Spikelets with 2 flowers. Collected on or about 18 Nov 1999.
