Ex F.C. Duguid Herb. Duplicate. Leaves - glabrous, linear, bluntly apiculate. Inner phyllaries (1 row) purplish. Outer phyllaries, green with membranous edges. Rays (1 row) white, minutely emarginate. Pappus hairs - many, very fine. Style tip - same length as pappus. Faintly bluish, club-shaped. Achenes silky, hairs pointing upwards. Capitula in few flowered cymes with short bracted stems. Plants found damaged, hence sparse tops, which grew after being brought into garden for cultivation. Also grows at Manawatu estuary flat 1979.
