Notes:
Low sprawling shrub less than 30cm high. Stems twisted. Inflorescence somewhat aromatic (yeasty), about 6 x 5cm at maturity. Phyllaries pale green or pink with narrow red margins on all but the longest inner ones. Florets white hairy except dark red-purple hairy tips. Cultivated on west-facing slope.
